It's A Dog's Life For Carrey

Jim Carrey has been photographed grappling with an Alsatian dog during filming of his new movie, Bruce Almighty, in Los Angeles.

Reminiscent of his star-making role as zany pet detective Ace Ventura, he appeared totally at ease with his canine co-star, as he knelt down to pet the highly trained animal between takes.

But as soon as the cameras were rolling, it was a different story altogether.

Bruce Almighty is about a man who complains about God once too often and is subsequently granted almighty power for 24 hours in order to show him how difficult it is to run the world.

Carrey stars alongside Jennifer Aniston and Morgan Freeman in the film, released in the US on 23 May 2003.
