A scintillating light comedy that takes an hilarious look at the Great American Marriage gone sour. Dean Martin is very funny as the lifelong bachelor who suddenly finds himself married and doesn't like it, Hermione Baddeley a riot as Sinatra's (later Martin's) ferocious Scottish mother-in-law. Beset for the umpteenth time by the bag-playing harridan, Martin says he'll take the dog out for a walk. But they don't have a dog, says his wife. That's all right, says Martin, he'll find one. Cy Howard's script is mostly delightful stuff. Martin is at his best when he wears his worried look, and the girls (Joi Lansing, Davey Davidson, Nancy Sinatra and Tara Ashton) all acting talent.
