In enlivening this action-comedy from the Disney studio, Michael Crawford reminds us how much we miss him since he defected to theatre and TV. He's a cartoonist (with a convincing American accent) who gets the chance to play his own creation, Condorman, when the CIA hires him to bring back doe-eyed defector Barbara Carrera from Russia. The action is efficient throughout, especially in a speedboat battle in which the Condorcraft with its laser gun takes on the KGB'S five black boats with machine guns.
