Kermit and company really do turn Manhattan into an isle of joy in this, the best of the Muppet films. It has a good story, witty script, inventive use of New York locations, and some very snappy verbal exchanges between Kermit and Miss Piggy. Kermit loses his memory and wanders the streets of New York. Miss Piggy is mugged in Central Park. Yes, all Muppet life is here. And there's even the big finish to end them all, with two of the main characters getting married on stage. It seemed that this might be the last of the Muppets on film, but happily they re-emerged with several movies in later years.
