Best known and best loved, not only as Mrs. Danny DeVito, but also as the gap-toothed, quick-tongued barmaid Carla in the hit TV sitcom Cheers, Rhea Pearlman has also formed a relatively successful movie career.
Early on in her career, Pearlman wrote and produced two short films, The Sound Sleeper in 1973 and Minestrone in 1975, with DeVito.
She has appeared frequently on Broadway and on TV although feature work has been less prominent in her career as an actress.
Film's she's appeared in include National Lampoon Goes to the Movies; Enid Is Sleeping, Ted & Venus, Matilda and Carpool, a zany comedy starring Tom Arnold.
