Stage-trained Jenney is perhaps best recalled as John Belushi's wife Judith in the biopic Wired in 1989.
She began her career in NYC appearing on the soap operas All My Children and As the World Turns while early film credits include 1979's Imposters and Hearts and Diamonds.
After a run on Broadway in Gemini, Jenney was tapped to play one of Kathleen Turner's friends in Francis Coppola's Peggy Sue Got Married.
She continued to amass stage credits as well as appearing in small roles in such films as Rain Man, Born on the Fourth of July and Thelma and Louise.
Her performance as Jeff Bridges' girlfriend in American Heart brought her a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award as Best Supporting Actress.
She offered strong support to Demi Moore in G.I. Jane and raised her profile as a witch opposite Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock in Practical Magic.
Jenney also played opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in Deep End of the Ocean and had minor roles in Remember The Titans and Welcome To Hollywood.
Recent work includes Crazy/Beautiful and The Mothman Prophecies.
