Although more silly than chilly, this dose of modern witchcraft is at least a tale told with spirit and provides gainful employment for a whole bevy of refugees from long-running TV series, including Woody Harrelson (Cheers), Susan Ruttan (L. A. Law), James B Sikking (Hill St Blues), Inga Swenson (Soap and Benson) and Jeff Conaway (Taxi). A witch could fly her broom through some of the holes in the plot, but that doesn't stop perky heroine Pamela Sue Martin from screaming and shivering for all she's worth. Film nostagia fans will spot John Kerr, once the star of Tea and Sympathy and South Pacific, in a small role as a ferryboat skipper.
