This entertaining TV movie is a modern twist on classic Western elements - independent, grizzled heroes battling larger-than-life villains. It was also the second time out on celluloid for Willie Nelson as safecracker/con man Bily Roy Barker and Kris Kristofferson as Texas Ranger Capt Rip Metcalf. Director Bill Bixby - best known as the star of The Incredible Hulk TV series - elicits fine performances from all the cast in this ripping yarn about the ranger and the con-man working in partnership to track down a team of vigilantes. It's a lot of fun.
