A less than chilling Michael Crichton thriller which is also less than credible. Albert Finney stars as Larry, a California plastic surgeon who is mysteriously losing some of his clients. He investigates a dodgy research institute, Reston Industries, and finds that Reston (James Coburn) is killing women off after using them as models for various hi-tech and illegal advertising purposes. With the help of his friend Cindy (Susan Dey), Larry has to get the police off his case and onto the real murderer. Product placement over people is the all-too-believable message, but this one is best watched for its fancy imagery rather than for any tension.
