Sesame Street's Big Bird is taken away to live in a foster home, but runs away to get back to his pals, in this delightful children's film. It's everything you would expect from a feature-length version of the TV show, with a few extras to keep the adults amused. Roly-poly John Candy appears as a policeman, Chevy Chase and Kermit the Frog are anchormen on a TV news programme and country singer Waylon Jennings is a singing trucker. Essential viewing for anyone under eight years old; quite good fun for anyone under 80 too.
