Fleming's big screen breakthrough was The Craft, a supernatural horror fantasy starring Robin Tunney and Neve Campbell.
His debut was the stylish 1988 psychological horror film Bad Dreams which he followed with the romantic comedy Threesome with Lara Flynn Boyle.
After The Craft, he co-wrote and directed the political comedy Dick, starring Kirsten Dunst, which satirised the Nixon Watergate scandal.
Recent work includes a remake of The In-Laws, starring Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks.
