Craig Lahiff
Born: Australia
The former computer worker-turned-director is probably best known for the Australian courtroom drama Black and White.
The movie, starring Robert Carlyle and Charles Dance, told the story of an Aborigine accused of rape and murder in a remote Australian town.
After graduating in physics, Lahiff turned to movies and worked on Australian classics such as Bruce Beresford's Breaker Morant and Sunday Too Far Away.
His feature debut Fever earned him an Australian Film Institute best director nomination and his thriller Heaven's Burning starred Russell Crowe.
