This relatively brief but very violent action film is, in all but name, Die Hard Sky High, with Wesley Snipes nearly but not quite a match for Bruce Willis.
Wesley plays a security chief who finds himself on the same plane as the world's most wanted hijack terrorist, now a captive, but whose men are planted aboard ready to extract him from FBI custody (a bullet between the eyes is the preferred method) and take over the plane.
Snipes, trapped in the john just like Willis, soon starts cutting down the odds.
Although the pace of the film varies, it packs a lot of incident, even throwing in action in a fairground when the plane is forced to land and the terrorists attempt a getaway on foot.
The dialogue has moments of high lunacy: 'It's Charles Rane - the sophisticated British aristocrat known as the Rane of Terror', but action fans won't find much to complain about, and sharp eyes will spot Elizabeth Hurley as a stewardess.
