I suppose it would take Greta Scacchi, if anything, to drag a man away from Jamie Lee Curtis; but Peter Coyote certainly is a lucky guy to have the two to choose between in this moody romantic piece from director Diane Kurys. A bit long, but with a nice overall feel, the film has some really effective atmospheric shots of European cities in summer and the affair between movie star Coyote and starlet Scacchi is accompanied by sweeping music from Georges Delarue in the grand manner. Claudia Cardinale looks magnificent as Scacchi's mother and she, Coyote, Riegert and Curtis steal the acting honours, while Scacchi offers frequent displays of skin that will have her devotees drooling in the aisles.
