Having created havoc in the Army ('At War With the Army') and the Navy ('Sailor Beware'), Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis set about destroying the airborne infantry in this story of two song-and-dance men drafted into the paratroopers (which sounds suspiciously like Abbott and Costello's 'Rookies'). But Robert Strauss is a delight as the ferocious sergeant who deals summarily with Jerry's request to tuck him up in bed at night. Mona Freeman is a resourceful and feminine heroine, and the film is quite a lot of fun when it gets going and concentrates on visual comedy: the battle exercise climax is hilarious.
