Handsome young journalist Cary Elwes rents a cottage from a wealthy couple, whose teenage daughter (Alicia Silverstone) develops a crush on him. When it's clear Cary doesn't want to carry on with the frustrated young Alicia, she starts a campaign of revenge on him, leading to murder. A bit like a junior version of Fatal Attraction without the bonking, this psycho thriller is initially exciting and credible. But the premise goes haywire around half way through, with the plot getting increasingly desperate and implausible as it runs out of ideas and inspiration. Slick enough, though, while Elwes is quite adequate and the talented Silverstone sexy and believably vicious.
