A standard ninja chop-socky adventure crossed with fantasy elements borrowed from Lord of the Rings. Karate-mad high school teenager Ted Jan Roberts, gifted a ring by an oriental mystic, soon finds it possesses magic powers.

Unfortunately evil mastermind William Zabka has an identical ring and needs to gain control of its twin to use its full strength.

So far, so promising, but the rest is, sadly, formula stuff - even down to the madman kidnapping the heroine (one-time TV movie queen Karen Valentine) - and strictly tailored to the high-kicking talents of its young star.
