This is an improvement on some efforts in the 'Wild and the Reckless' series of revamps of Fifties teen films. Although the plot bears only a small resemblance to the original Sorority Girl of 1957 (shown in Britain as The Bad One), director Uli Edel does at least treat the material with some respect, as bad Sabrina (Sabra in the original) wreaks havoc at her new school in her efforts to emulate her older sister by becoming Sorority President. 'Nice girl' Alyssa Milano actually shows more cleavage here than villainess Jamie Luner, although otherwise both keep well in character and approach their roles with some seriousness. Despite lapses into lunacy, this is mostly watchable enough stuff with a decent climax.
