Scott Bairstow
Born: April 23 1970
Where: Manitoba, Canada
Canadian Scott Attended the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
He studied musical theatre while attending high school.
His parents, both musicians with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, ensured that he was exposed early to the arts.
By age 10, he was appearing on Canadian children's TV.
Playing wide-eyed young leads in a number of film and TV projects, it wasn't too long before he secured a co-starring role opposite Kevin Costner (who also directed) in The Postman in 1997.
At 17 he landed a New York agent and made the inevitable American-as-apple-pie steps toward the ABC soap opera All My Children.
Since then he has played an evil faith healer in a memorable 1994 episode of The X-Files and joined the cast of Party of Five in the recurring role of Ned, a love interest for Neve Campbell's Julia.
An unfortunate year so far for Scott as he was sentenced in 2004 to four months in jail for second degree assault against a 12 year old, originally charged with statutory rape he still maintains his innocence.
