A wacky comedy about two kids who lock their warring parents (Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Pollak) in the (well-lit and decorated) cellar of their home in the hope it will bring them to their senses.
And so it does.
No, we didn't believe it either, especially when other kids catch on to the idea and bring their bickering parents along too.
This develops into a kind of upstairs-downstairs situation, which gets a bit more tolerable towards the end, but doesn't seem to have an audience.
Good cast, though, including Ray Walston, Jennifer Tilly and that little gremlin Wallace Shawn, who at least makes us smile when he asks his wife: 'Why do I owe you child support? You've got the kids! '
Kyle Howard and Jennifer Love Hewitt are attractive teenage leads as two of the leading instigators of the plot.
