The actor is punching out a name for himself as the hardest man in British cinema with thuggish appearances in The Business and Green Street.

He made his big screen debut in 2001 in Mike Bassett: England Manager and has gone on to star in movies including AKA and Mean Machine with Vinnie Jones.

In 2003, he starred in the British sitcom Oh Marbella with Rik Mayall and also played a butcher in Girl With A Pearl Earring.

Starring roles came in 2005 with Nick Love's Costa Del Crime caper The Business and the football hooligan drama Green Street with Elijah Wood.

Subsequent TV work has included Steve Coogan's comedy Saxondale and the TV mini series The Virgin Queen.

Director Woody Allen cast him in the comedy fantasy Scoop and he also appear in the British horror-thriller Botched.
