Groucho (he plays the president of the postage-stamp republic of Freedonia) also has a miraculous scene in which Harpo plays his mirror image. Instead of feeling to see if the mirror were there - the obvious step - Groucho tries to outwit Harpo by making sudden movements, in a sequence which becomes a memorable example of the Marxes' comic invention.
