This classy MGM second-feature is a bright, light and lively frolic about the efforts of an expectant mum to satisfy her craving for prime steak. Bubbly Janet Leigh makes the most of her material as Connie and bluff Louis Calhern is at the top of his form as her cantankerous Texas father-in-law. Very good, too, is Gene Lockhart as the college dean who regards dinners given to him by promotion-seeking staff as one of the perks of his office.
