Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis have the time of their acting lives in this rousing adventure about 10th-century battle-loving Vikings. They play two half-brothers at each other's throats because they both love princess Janet Leigh. Ernest Borgnine also scores strongly as Douglas's hearty dad (though Kirk is actually a month older than Ernest), and the hand-to-hand combat scenes. are splendidly fierce, edge-of-seat stuff.
