Robert Schwentke

The former philosophy student made his Hollywood debut with he airborne thriller Flightplan starring Jodie Foster.
A graduate of Tubingen's Karl University, Schwentke went on to study at Columbia College and the American Film Institute.
He made his film debut with 1993's heist thriller Heaven and went on to direct the German TV series Tatort.
In 2002, he made his international debut with the brutal thriller Tattoo and followed it with the comedy drama Family Jewels.
Recent work includes the thriller Flightplan starring Foster as a mother who loses her child on a flight from Berlin to America.
