Laurence Dunmore

The commercials director made his feature debut with the Restoration drama The Libertine starring Johnny Depp.
After studying graphic design at London College of Printing he worked for designer Howard Brown, producing promotional material for movies including Roland Joffe's The Mission.
In 1986, he set up his own consultancy working for the record industry and joined Ridley Scott Associates in 1997.
His advert for the Commission for Racial Equality - posing the question Would You Think Differently About Me? as the colour of the speakers' skin changed - grabbed the tabloid headlines.
He also worked for Peugeot and Johnny Walker whisky and received the Golden Lion at Cannes for his spot for AXE/Lynx.
In 2005, he made his directorial debut with The Libertine, the story of the rebellious 2nd Earl of Rochester, John Wilmot.
