The Art Of Subtitles
Subtitling is an art in itself - as well as accurately summarising what's being said in as few words as possible, the subtitler has to try to capture the speaker's tone and mood. Humour and irony can be quite difficult to convey too.
Using Subtitles
Subtitling has many uses, from teaching children to read by guiding them through the subtitles of their favourite films, to having a chat with a friend on the phone and still knowing what's happening on screen!
Subtitled Films on Sky Movies
