Pop Idol To Cartoon King
Movie could make Gareth famous in USA tooGareth Gates may not have won TV's Pop Idol but he's already become a movie star.
His version of the Elvis Presley classic, Suspicious Minds, features in children's cartoon Lilo & Stitch, due to be released in the UK in October.
If the film does well at the US box office, producers will include Gareth's track on the US version of the soundtrack.
It is already on the European and UK versions.A source said: "Gareth is always going to do well in the UK but with the current Elvis mania, fuelled by the 25th anniversary of Presley's death, he could also make a name for himself in the US.
"He could be on his way to becoming a major star on both sides of the Atlantic."
Suspicious Minds reached No.2 in the charts for Elvis in 1969.
Lilo & Stitch tells the story of an Elvis-loving dog befriended by a young Hawaiian girl.
