Nothing succeeds like excess, it seems, as Charles Bronson reprises his role as the vigilante architect, bumping off every mugger in sight in Los Angeles, having already laid waste to the ungodly in New York in the first of the crime thrillers, which Michael Winner also directed. And, with a cast list that contains such characters as Stomper, Punkcut and Cutter, it's very much the recipe as before (and after). Winner went to make his third Death Wish, before other hands took over the directorial reins for further entries. Star spotters may catch a glimpse of a very young Laurence Fishburne in the supporting cast.
