Bruce Davison

As much of a TV actor as a movie star, Bruce has been acting since the late 60's in a career which has taken from stage, to small screen, to cinemas.
His feature acting debut came in Last Summer, but it was in Willard, in 1971 that he played his first lead role.
The 70's and 80's were filled with many bsuccessful TV movie lead roles for Bruce, and in 1990 he finally achieved cinematic acclaim with a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal of a gay man caring for his dying lover in Longtime Companion.
1993 was a busy year for Bruce. He starred in four films, including Robert Altman's Short Cuts and Fred Schepisi's Six Degrees of Separation.
Three years later he was back in a big budget box office hit, as Reverend Paris in the film adaptation of Arthur Miller's The Crucible.
Bruce has also been known to play the father of troubled teens, most notably teen in the film adaptation of the Stephen King novella Apt Pupil, and as the neglectful father of Kirsten Dunst in teen romance Crazy Beautiful.
Fantasy adventure fans will recognise Bruce from the big-screen version of the comic-book adventure X-Men, in which he plays Senator Kelly, a politician who believes that all mutants should be cast out from society.
