Crispin Glover

The actor, who has an attacted a cult following for his off-beam looks and persona, first impressed movie audiences as the nerdy George McFly in the hit Back to the Future.
The son of actor Bruce Glover, he landed roles in the TV shows Happy Days and Hill Street Blues after appearing in an LA production of the Sound of Music.
In 1985, Glover was cast in the fact-based short The Orkly Kid - later combined with two of director Trent Harris' other shorts and released under the title The Beaver Trilogy.
That same year, the actor impressed as Michael J Fox's dad in the first instalment of Back to the Future.
In 1990 he co-starred in David Lynch's Wild at Heart, then offered a memorable cameo as Andy Warhol in Oliver Stone's The Doors, before appearing in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
Glover had supporting roles in Jim Jarmusch's revisionist Western Dead Man and Milos Forman's profile of the adult magazine publisher in The People vs. Larry Flynt.
Glover wrote and directed the short What Is It? which focused on a group of Down's syndrome adolescents.
Although he stated a preference for remaining behind the scenes as a writer and director, Glover has not entirely abandoned acting.
He offered a supporting turn in Nurse Betty, and was featured in the action sequel Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
He undertook the lead in Bartleby, a film adaptation of Herman Melville's Bartleby the Scrivener, as well as the title role in the remake of thriller Willard.
Glover has also written several books, including Ratcatching, and recorded an album - The Big Problem = The Solution. The Solution = Let It Be.
