The Best Actor Oscar has to be the highlight in any professional's career, and for F. Murray Abraham, that peak was reached in 1984 for his brilliant performance as the covetous Salieri in Amadeus.

For an actor who started life as a performer as a Santa Claus at Macy's department store, this was a leap in the right direction!

Other succesful projects for Abraham have included Gus Van Sant's acclaimed Finding Forrester; Star Trek: Insurrection, Mighty Aphrodite, Last Action Hero and The Name of the Rose.
