Although this mystery thriller, made as a pilot for a TV series, has a rather routine plotline, it's quite excitingly put together. Brynn Thayer and Leigh Lawson star as a foreign correspondent and a photographer who become embroiled in the violent politics of an African country when they try to investigate the murder of a close friend. Spanish (our heroes are based in Madrid) and African locations make the film visually different and if the conclusion isn't entirely unexpected, it's an enjoyable adventure before arriving there. Watch out for Elizabeth Hurley as a dippy guest at a reception.
