Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfectly cast as the good terminator T-800 sent back to protect the now 12-year-old boy (Edward Furlong) against bad Terminator T-1000 (Robert Patrick) in this brilliant, heart-pounding sci-fi blockbuster. The twists and turns of logic and time are as amazing as the liquid metal effects and the highway chases, as Arnie develops enough human traits and command of slang to bring humour to the awesome, almost non-stop action. Linda Hamilton is worth every cent of the $1million she got for repeating her role as Furlong's mum, but it's Arnie's film - and he's dynamite.
