Get ready for a real rollercoaster of a brainteaser incorporating endless twists and turns involving blackmailing the guys who are blackmailing some other guys for blackmailing their bosses. Yes, it's as clear as mud and the film-makers obviously thought so, for they decided to throw in some steamy sex scenes just to keep the audience out of a self-induced coma. Laurence Fishburne plays Nelson Crowe, a former CIA agent who is recruited into 'The Tool Shed', a company that specialises in freelance espionage that involves, yep, blackmail. But his new boss Margaret Wells, played by the sultry Ellen Barkin, has ambitions of her own regarding her own boss and wants Crowe to help her dispose of him. Exciting and enjoyable enough, that is if you're capable of doing The Times crossword in 10 minutes flat.
