Jon Gries

The son of writer/director Tom Gries, the actor is probably most familiar from his appearances in Get Shorty and Welcome To The Jungle.
He made his big screen debut as a child actor in 1968 in Will Penny and it wasn't until 1976 that he appeared in Born of Water.
Subsequent appearances included More American Grafitti, the Val Kilmer comedy Real Genius and the sci-fi horror Terrorvision.
In 1986, he starred alongside Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines in the action comedy Running Scared and reteamed with Kilmer for Kill Me Again.
Minor roles followed in The Grifters and Friday Night Part II before he was cast alongside John Travolta as Ronnie Wingate in Get Shorty.
In 1997, he appeared in Men in Black which he followed with The Maze, Twin Falls Idaho and he starred oppposite Daryl Hannah in the comedy drama Jackpot.
Michael Polish cast him in the mystery Northfork and he also starred opposite The Rock in Welcome To The Jungle.
Recent work includes the role of Uncle Rico in the independent hit Napoleon Dynamite.
