Warner's politically correct cartoon is a colourful, song-filled adventure but it won't knock Disney off its throne.

Evil Sir Ruber (Gary Oldman) kills Kayley's (Jessalyn Gilsig) father (Gabriel Byrne), kidnaps her mother (Jane Seymour), and plans to steal Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur (Pierce Brosnan).

Kayley sets out to save Camelot, with a blind hermit (Cary Elwes) and a bickering, two-headed dragon (played pantomime-style by Eric Idle and Don Rickles).

Even with its amazing voice cast and Andrea Corr as one of the singing voices, this is no more than pleasant fun for under-10s.
