A not-so-hot first solo comedy vehicle for Shelley (Cheers) Long, as a woman who is brought back from the dead by an occult incantation.
Most of the comedy before and after death stems from the fact that her character has two left feet, and Long prises some funny moments from this.
In other respects, however, things are less happy: the piece is stickily scripted and raucously directed, while the performances seem unrelaxed.
Gabriel Byrne and Corbin Bernsen are both uneasily cast, and the rest of the players are rather below par.
One of Long's better vehicles, though, from a so-far unlucky and unrewarding film career that was happily enlivened in more recent times with the success of the 'Brady Bunch' movies.
