Living Barbie doll Loni Anderson, assumes the mantle of Fifties' B-movie queen Jayne Mansfield in this breezy biopic which plays hard and fast with the facts. Arnold Schwarzenegger is glumly typecast as Jayne's second husband, body-builder Mickey Hargitay, while all the other characters bear fictional names. Her exaggerated features and hour-glass figure make Miss Andersion ideally suited to the role of the sad sex symbol, always over-shadowed by her contemporary, Marilyn Monroe, and at times she bears an uncanny resemblance to Lady Penelope in Thunderbirds.
