The U. N. C. L. E. craze was on the wane when this appeared. Sadly lacking in the wit and verve the series once possessed, it's played with surprisingly intense seriousness at first, especially by chief guest star Vera Miles, but soon degenerates into the usual antics. T. H. R. U. S. H. are a jaded lot in this one, and far too little is seen of bubbly Yvonne Craig, as Robert Vaughn's U. N. C. L. E. contact, and David McCallum, as his partner. Our heroes themselves could have at this stage done with the rejuvenation formula so eagerly sought here by the bad guys. DQ)
