Comedian George Burns (who hadn't made a film since 1939) made a stunning film comeback at 79 - and won an Oscar - in this amusing tale, based on Neil Simon's play. Burns and Walter Matthau play long-retired vaudeville partners who hate each other but are persuaded by Walter's agent nephew Richard Benjamin to do one last TV special together. It's great to see the stars going through their hilarious paces in this warm-hearted, funny entertainment, a comedy classic.
