Director Larry Peerce takes this breezy romantic comedy-fantasy rather too seriously for its own good. Dee Wallace and Brian Dennehy inject some much-needed life into it, and the fantasy backgrounds to the various men involved are nicely realised by art director Charles Hughes. The usually sparkling Susan Saint James is mostly restricted to troubled stares at the camera.
