An all-too-familiar chiller plot means that this made-for-TV film won't offer too many shocks or surprises. When Julia (Lee Purcell) is orphaned, she is taken in by her aunt and uncle. They thinks she's a sweetie but her cousin Rachel (Linda Blair) isn't convinced, especially when spooky things start to happen. If not unforgivably awful, the film doesn't offer anything new. Even the directing is a bit shaky, which is a surprise when you realise Wes Craven was at the helm. An early effort for him, he improved greatly with practice.
