Despite its bankable stars (Wesley Snipes, Ving Rhames) and big director (Walter Hill), the prison boxing drama Undisputed lacks - well, punch. Snipes plays the long-standing boxing champion of Sweetwater prison. His reign is challenged when the world heavyweight champ (Rhames) is sent down for rape. It's well-filmed, and Peter (Columbo) Falk has a memorable, against-type role as a jailed, hard-cursing ex-mobster with connections, but there is little excitement in the story except for the last 20 minutes or so, when the two titans meet in the prison ring. With its subdued feel and no real heroes, it offers little reason to keep you watching.
