This Western saga of revenge and banditry in the old West makes effective landscape use of Rio Grande scenery and country singer Willie Nelson (in the title part of a notorious outlaw). It teams Nelson with Gary Busey (who made such an early hit in The Buddy Holly Story) as a Texan of German descent who becomes his partner in robbery and pillage. Action-packed stuff with a strong and welcome vein of humour.
