Although this Argentinian film has received considerable acclaim, it looks much like any other slightly pretentious black allegory from the the South American or even Eastern European cinemas. The director's fondness for unusual camera angles, at first fascinating, in the end becomes as tiresome as the endless shots of the leading character running naked through the streets of Buenos Aires at the beginning of the film.
