Parker first came to the attention for her award-winning performance in the 1996 movie Kissed.
Feature credits include Lyndon Chubbock's The War Bride, Wayne Wang's Centre of the World and Michael Winterbottom's Wonderland.
She also appeared in Istvan Szabo's Sunshine and Jean Jacques Armand's Wings of Courage.
TV credits include Twitch City, Six Feet Under and Serving in Silence.
Parker also starred in Last Wedding, for which she received a Genie award for best supporting actress.
She also played the heroin addicted mother Mel in Gillie MacKinnon's Pure with David Wenham.
Recent work includes the wife of John Cusack's Jewish art dealer in the character study of a young Hitler, Max.
