Three separate stories with a linked theme of abortion take us through the changing years and attitudes here. Demi Moore, Sissy Spacek and Cher each star in their own tale, spanning the Fifties, Seventies and Nineties. With strong storylines, this is a hard-hitting film and all three stars give good performances, with Cher perhaps just having the edge on Moore and Spacek. Cher also directed the story she stars in. According to American magazine People Weekly the film is `emphatically pro-choice and not for the faint-hearted.' A courageous film that takes a definite stance on the abortion issue.
