From director Harold Ramis, the man behind such well-liked comedies as Animal House, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, comes Bedazzled.
Based on Peter Cook's light-hearted 1967 comedy starring Dudley Moore, the film is set in modern-day San Francisco, where we meet Elliot (Fraser), a "sad, desperate, pathetic loser."
We all know someone like Elliot - a harmless person with no social skills who works too hard to get on with others and ends up the butt of jokes as a result.
Early on in the movie, we learn that Elliot has fallen depressingly deep in love with Alison, a female colleague with whom he's only spoken to once!
Needless to say, she's hardly aware of his existence but when a certain lady in red (Hurley) overhears his blurb about giving "anything" to be with Alison, the fun begins.
The mysterious lady in question goes by many aliases - her favourite of which, we learn as she hands Elliot her business card, is "The Devil".
Anxious to obtain Alison's attention, Elliot strikes a deal with Satan, a surprisingly seductive woman with a wicked sense of humour.
In exchange for Elliot's soul, the femme fatale will grant him seven wishes, his first of which is an obvious choice; He asks to be rich, powerful and married to Alison.
But he soon learns to be careful what to wish for, as he's transformed overnight into a Colombian drug lord.
This sets the trend as one after another his wishes go ever so slightly but crucially awry, turning each of Elliot's new lives into a living hell.
We're left to wonder whether or not he'll ever get his girl or if he'll be damned to the fiery depths of the devil's domain for all eternity.
