Shirley MacLaine and Dean Martin star in this bright, enjoyable romantic comedy. She plays Katie, who is thought to be the woman who spent the night with an elderly publishing tycoon, leaving him dead but with a smile on his face. His heir Tony (Martin), fearing a scandal, cynically tries to seduce her... Of course, he falls for her (and, of course, she's innocent). MacLaine is delightfully scatty as only she can be. Martin, on the other hand, cruises through his role, relying on his lazy charm. That's enough for him to get by, though, and his laid-back performance is a suitable foil for MacLaine. No classic, but this is good, easy-going fun.
